The background info is that I'm a Video Ezy online customer which means I can rent an unlimited number of DVDs online every month at a fixed price. Recently, there has been a spate of customer complaints about not receiving the DVDs Video Ezy had sent to them. And I was one such customer.
Today I received the following email from Video Ezy:
Dear Members,
We would like to thank you for your kind patience and understanding during this period of suspension due to the issue of lost delivery. Recently, we encountered an unusual number of missing DVD report and we were forced to suspend your account for investigation purposes.
Since then, we have contacted SingPost and made an arrangement for them to monitor our packages closely. Hence, we will reactivate your account and resume services by continuing to send DVDs to you. To compensate for the period of disruption in services, we would like to extend our apologises by offering a 50% discount on your next billing!

What do I think?
I think the 50% discount is great but I do feel it an injustice that Video Ezy has to suffer this loss, considering it wasn't even their fault in the first place.
I also think the workers in Singpost responsible for this are likely so downright stupid they can't even accomplish a simple task like sending the right mails to the right person. No wonder they'll probably be handling mails for the rest of their pathetic lives, and receiving the same pathetic pay for being downright stupid.
People might think I'm being mean but I really can't tolerate this level of stupidity. Stupidity which hinders efficiency, stupidity which disrupts an entire service. It is just unacceptable to me.
